New Staffel!
With the rapid expansion of the squad in the North American time zones, we're happy to announce the activation of a new staffel. Leading that staffel is one of the game's most experienced pilots. Tinky123 has taken command of the new 7./JG51! This squad is sure to dominate the allied resistance to the Fatherland's expansion. Joining Tinky in the new staffel will be Skiini, Sicness, Donzi, Tryface, and Mactavish.

Our History
History of JG51
Our Geschwader is relatively new to WWII On-Line, but our WWII On-Line experience dates back to the beginning of the game. We formed the Geschwader in the beginning of September 2008, and went active on 28 September 2008. To date our history is short, but we look forward to writing it with you.
About JG51
We are a WWII On-Line Luftwaffe only Geschwader that only flies the BF109 on squad nights. Our goal as a unit is first to have fun and second to become the best BF109 drivers collectively in the game. We will be placing a lot of emphasis on teamwork and tactics and not so much on individual skill. Although we encourage every pilot to better themselves it’s our philosophy that we can overcome any short comings in personal skill with superior tactics and teamwork. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with using tactics or flying with a wingman because we take pride in training our pilots and will be spending quite a bit of time in the training arena. If you’re a skilled pilot and are comfortable using teamwork and tactics then we will be tapping your experience to help up train other less experienced pilots.
Need Programmers!
The squad is looking for a couple good programmers out there to help us out with producing automated scripts to pull data and automate signatures, awards, and squad stats from the Wiretap service maintained by KFS1. Ideally, we'd like to be able to run scripts similar to Gutted's stats page but specifically just for the squad. From those stats we would like to automate the award system and the signatures. If you think you can help, please stop by our forums.
1.34 DEV UPDATE FEEDBACK
We had lots of good comments and questions from the last 1.34 Development Update. GOPHUR addresses some of them below:
crossfir:
...I found one thing and I don't know if you have fixed it. The M10 has (had) a hole in the frontal turret. If you raise the main gun higher, you will notice this hole. Nice big gap.
GOPHUR: Have a ticket for this. The art is actually missing texture there but the damage model has armor. You can;t shoot through it even though it might look like you can. You'll see the hit mark decals when you hit the invisible armor.
